The Environmental Health, Health Services, and Toxicology Research Program (EHHSTRP) is the third project in the long history of the collaborative relationship between the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR) and the Association of Minority Health Professions Schools, Inc. (AMHPS).

This relationship began in 1992 with Environmental Health & Toxicology Research Program (EHTRP) with the goals: to commence research to close gaps in the knowledge about the effects of toxic chemicals in the environment and to enhance the research capacities of the AMHPS’ member institutions.

The EHHSTRP seeks to apply the findings from the 10-year EHTRP program (1993-2003) to improve environmental health medicine in low-income and/or minority communities.

The Colloquiums are made possible by Cooperative Agreement # 5 U50 TS 473408 between the Association of Minority Health Professions Schools, Inc. and the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry
