With the continued support of
our generous sponsors and member institutions, the
Association of Minority Health Professions Schools
fulfills its mission by promoting research that
contributes to the advancement of knowledge and
treatment of diseases, disabilities and adverse
health problems that disproportionately or
differentially affect minority populations;
advocating efforts that improve the quality and
availability of health care to minority and under-
served populations; furthering public education on
prevention and promoting healthy lifestyles among
minority and under-served populations; identifying
and facilitating new directions in the area of
minority health by supporting scholarly exchange of
scientific and clinical knowledge; and bringing
about an increase in the representation and
recognition of minorities in the health professions
of medicine, dentistry, pharmacy and veterinary
medicine.
