The twelve colleges and universities which constitute our membership train approximately 50 percent of African-American physicians, 50 percent of African-American dentists, 50 percent of African-American pharmacists and 80 percent of African-American veterinarians in the United States. These institutions also have educated growing numbers of minorities with doctorates in the biomedical sciences and related disciplines.
